Sukhbir Badal appears before court after non-bailable warrants issued against him

Chandigarh: SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, who was booked on July 2, 2021, at Police Station Beas in Amritsar district of Punjab for allegedly violating Covid norms and threatening the staff of a mining contractor, appeared before a court in Amritsar today.

Talking to reporters, he said he had full faith in the judiciary.

He said that whatever decision comes from the court, he will welcome it.

Responding to a query over suspension of Bibi Jagir Kaur from the Akali Dal, Sukhbir Badal ducked the questions.

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal by the court.

These warrants have been issued on July 2, 2021 at Police Station Beas in Amritsar district on charges of violation of Covid norms and threatening the staff of the mining contractor. Besides Badal, non-bailable warrants have also been issued against senior SAD leader Virsa Singh Valtoha.
