Brampton: A 20-year-old girl was badly injured after being hit by a vehicle in Brampton.

The accident took place around 6:30 p.m. on McLaughlin Road on Ray Lawson Boulevard, north of Highway 407. The injured girl was taken to a trauma centre.

Her condition is said to be critical but stable. Peel police said the vehicle involved in the incident was present on the spot.

There was no information from the police on whether charges have been framed against anyone or not. Roads in the area were closed for inspection but were later opened.

Ontario: Three people were seriously injured when several vehicles collided in Scarborough and were taken to the Trauma Center for treatment.

Toronto police were informed that several vehicles collided in the Finch Avenue East Area on Markham Road before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Officials said three persons injured in the accident were rushed to the trauma centre in a critical condition. Toronto fire staff also rushed to the scene to help the police.

A Toronto Fire spokesman said one person was trapped inside the vehicle after the accident and was pulled out of the vehicle by first responders. This intersection has been closed and people are being advised to go through alternative routes.

Mississauga: A woman was badly injured after being hit by a vehicle in Mississauga on Monday morning.

The incident took place shortly after 5:00 a.m. near Gorway and Morning Star Drives.

Peel police said the driver was present on the spot. The woman was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance in a critical condition.

Gorway Drive on the north side of Brandon Gate Drive has been closed and police are investigating the matter.

Vancouver: Ten people were injured and two others were killed on Saturday night when a woman drove a vehicle into people at a wedding ceremony in western Vancouver, police said.

According to BC Emergency Health Services, the incident occurred at 6:10 p.m.

After the incident, 11 ambulances were sent to Keith Road and an air ambulance was also sent, officials said. The EHS said ten patients were taken to the hospital. The condition of two is said to be critical, while the condition of three is critical and the condition of five is stable.

The West Vancouver Police Department said the incident took place on a joint driveway between the two properties.

The driver, a 60-year-old woman, was trying to remove the vehicle from the driveway when the accelerator was pressed from her and the vehicle hit the people. Police said the driver was also one of those taken to the hospital. She was not in police custody on Sunday.

Police said the investigation is still at an initial stage and it is yet to be said whether the woman will face any charges or not. The matter is being investigated.

Khadoor Sahib: A young man from Tarn Taran was killed in a tragic road accident in Canada. The truck caught fire after the accident. The young man was also burnt to ashes in the flames. The deceased has been identified as Rishabh Sharma (26).

The previous day he went to his work as usual. On the way to Montreal, his truck met with an accident, which caught fire and he died in the spot. The family was informed about the incident by the friends over the call.

His marriage was scheduled for January next year. Preparations were underway for his wedding at home.

He was survived by a sister and mother, who live in Tarn Taran district of Punjab and are in deep shock after Rishabh’s death.
