New Delhi: Team India has made a new record in the fourth Test match being played between India and Australia in Ahmedabad.

In this match, Team India batted in their first innings and shared a partnership of 50 or more runs for all wickets, up to 6 wickets.

In this innings, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill added 74 runs for the first wicket.

After this, Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara added 113 runs for the second wicket, Virat and Shubman Gill added 58 runs for the third wicket and Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli shared a 64-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

At the same time, Kohli and KS Bharat scored 84 runs for the fifth wicket and Akshar Patel and Virat Kohli added the highest 162 runs for the sixth wicket so far.

BCCI wrote in a tweet, “Virat Kohli and Axar Patel have brought up a 60-run partnership. This is the first time that India have had six 50-run stands for the first 6 wickets.”

Earlier, the Australian team first did this while playing against the West Indies in 1960. Australia then shared a 50 or more run partnership on every wicket for the first 6 wickets. After this, in 2015, the Pakistan team did this while playing against Bangladesh.
