New Delhi: Videos purportedly showing Aam Aadmi Party Minister Satyendar Jain lying on a bed and getting his feet massaged in Tihar Jail here are going viral on social media. Jain, 58, who is in judicial custody on charges of money laundering, can be seen reading some documents in the video and getting his legs massaged with a white T-shirt.

There was no response from the Tihar administration on the matter. The Delhi prison department comes under the AAP-led city government. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had claimed in a court here that Special facilities have been provided to Jain in Tihar Jail.

The BJP has slammed AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not commenting on the wire video on Satyendar Jain. BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has become the ‘SP and Massage Party’. Kejriwal should talk about it. Where is Kejriwal now? Jain can be seen enjoying massages and meeting visitors in his cell in complete violation of rules and prison laws. This VVIP culture in jail is dangerous for democracy.

Meanwhile, AAP claimed that Jain was advised massage by the doctors and it was violation of court’s for releasing video to media.

Chandigarh: The BJP has been continuously opposing the special session of the Assembly convened by the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab. In this sequence, the BJP set up a ‘public assembly’ parallel to the assembly session. In Chandigarh, all the leaders reached the parking lot of Batra Cinema near the BJP state headquarters in Sector 37.

In this public assembly, 6 issues related to Punjab were raised. These included corruption, unfulfilled promises, farming, rising drug abuse, deteriorating SC/OBC and law and order situation.

Former MP Sunil Jakhar, who joined the BJP a few months ago from the Congress, raised the issue of increased corruption in Punjab under the Bhagwant Mann government. Other leaders questioned the rising crime in the state.

BJP leaders protested against the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party government. “This government did not help the farmers. The law and order situation in Punjab has worsened. The government made excuses like Operation Lotus to hide its failure. The government has no plan to lift the state out of debt.”
