Ontario: On International Youth Day, the Body Shop Canada is partnering with the non-partisan, national non-profit Apathy is Boring (AisB) and taking initiative to encourage the youngsters to exercise their right of vote in this year’s municipal elections and beyond.

Starting today, visitors to The Body Shop’s Canadian stores and website are being informed about importance of voting and pledge to vote in this year’s municipal elections.

This effort is an extension of Be Seen. Be Heard, the global campaign from this body shop and the United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy.

The campaign Be Seen Be Heard: Understanding young people’s political participation has been launched at the UN headquarters in May, considering low turnout for the Ontario provincial election.

The campaign pours light on vital appetite for sweeping political change among youngsters in Canada and across the globe.

According to the report, 80 percent of Canadians youth said that they think political systems need drastic reforms while 77 percent belive that they can make positive changes in the world but don’t know where to start.
