New Delhi: Many IAS officers have been transferred in Delhi. Hours after the CBI raided deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence over alleged irregularities in excise policy, 12 IAS officers were transferred on Friday.

Those transferred include Udit Prakash Rai, Special Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, according to a transfer order issued by the Services Department of the Delhi government.

Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena had recently recommended to the Home Ministry for action against IAS Udit Prakash Rai in a corruption case. An official familiar with the development said the reshuffle was not linked to the raid at Manish Sisodia’s house.

Udit Prakash Rai, Special Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, is a 2007-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre. Lt Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena had recently recommended to the Home Ministry for action against them.

Among the officers transferred and posted, Vijendra Singh Rawat, a 2007-batch IAS officer, will succeed Rai as the new special secretary of the health and family welfare department. He will also hold the additional charge of Director (Planning). Jitendra Narayan has been made chairman and managing director of Delhi Finance Corporation.

Vivek Pandey , an IAS officer currently posted as Secretary Administrative Reforms, has been appointed as Secretary (IT) and given additional charge of MD (GSDL) and Director (UTCS). According to the order, Sonal Swaroop (2012-batch IAS), who is currently posted as additional commissioner in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, has been appointed as special secretary to the LG.

New Delhi: The CBI had registered an FIR against 15 people, including Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, in the excise scam on August 17, two days before the raid.

The FIR also names some liquor companies. In the copy of the FIR, anon public servant and private person are mentioned at number 16. That is, the investigating agency can also add the names of some more people to the FIR.

The CBI has named the then Excise Commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna, the then Deputy Excise Commissioner Anand Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Excise Commissioner Pankaj Bhatnagar, nine businessmen and two companies in the FIR.

In the excise policy case of Delhi, CBI raids are going on at 21 places in 7 states including the residence of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The probe agency reached Sisodia’s house only at 8.30 am. Since then, searches have been going on at the government residence (A Wing Delhi Secretariat). The officers have seized the phones and laptops of him and the rest of the family members.

Aap said that this action has been taken to stop Kejriwal. Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said- CBI raided Arvind Kejriwal’ house, only four mufflers were found and they will find only pencils, notebooks and geometry boxes in Manish Sisodia’s house.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra has claimed that the photo published in foreign newspapers is not of a government school in Delhi but of a private school. Earlier, the BJP had also alleged that there was a deal between Kejriwal and the liquor mafia before the Punjab elections.

New Delhi: In connection with the Excise Policy case, the CBI raided 21 places in Delhi-NCR, including the house of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and the premises of the then Delhi Excise Commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna.

Giving information about this raid, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted, “CBI has come. They are welcome. We are staunchly honest. They are creating the future of millions of children. It is very unfortunate that the one who does good work in our country is similarly harassed. That is why our country has not yet become number-1.

He said, “These people are troubled by the excellent work of education and health of Delhi. That is why the Health Minister and Education Minister of Delhi have been caught so that the good work of education health can be stopped. There are allegations against both of us. The truth will come out in court.”

Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann attacked Modi government over the raid at Sisodia’s house.
