ਕੋਲੰਬੋ : ਸ੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਦਾ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਰੂਪ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਫੈਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਦੇ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਰੂਪ ਕਾਰਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਗ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਟੀਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੀਜੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਭਗ 20 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਮਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
