New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on GoAir. On January 9, a GoAir flight left 55 passengers in Bengaluru and flew to Delhi on a Bengaluru-Delhi flight.

The airline’s investigation has revealed that there was a problem in the communication of Go Air. Now DGCA has imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Go Air. Recently, the DGCA had imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh on Air India for a urine dispute.

GoAir’s G8-116 Bengaluru-Delhi flight took off without 55 passengers. As many as 55 passengers had taken check-in and boarding passes. But the flight took off from Bengaluru without carrying 55 passengers.

GoAir conducted its internal investigation in this matter, which revealed that there was a problem in communication.

The DGCA admitted mistake in the entire matter. On January 9, an incident was reported that Go First flight G8-116 on the Bangalore-Delhi route left the Bangalore airport itself with 55 passengers on board.

A show cause notice has been issued to the Chief Operations Manager for this negligence and it has been asked to reply as to why action should not be taken against him. The DGCA, in its preliminary inquiry, found that GoAir could not manage passengers properly.

However, GoAir later removed all the crew of the flight until further orders. GoAir has announced to give one ticket free to all 55 passengers who missed the flight across the country. In 12 months, these passengers can book tickets for any city in the country. Along with this, GoAir has apologized to the passengers in this matter.
