Paris: The Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the global watchdog that monitors terror funding and money laundering, today removed Pakistan from its grey list.

This information was given by the listing body FATF. The decision to remove Pakistan from the grey list was taken by FATF president TT Singh in Paris. The decision was taken after a two-day meeting chaired by Raja Kumar.

“Pakistan has made its mechanism of combating money laundering and terrorist financing more effective and addressed the technical deficiencies that the FATF mentioned in June 2018 and June 2021 to meet the commitments of its action plans regarding strategic deficiencies,” the global task force said. It has completed the respective commitments ahead of schedule, which included a total of 34 working points. ”
