Washington: Former President Donald Trump has been accused for last year’s Capitol Hill violence in the US. The committee investigating the matter has recommended that Trump be prosecuted. If that happens, Trump’s plans to contest the 2024 election could suffer a setback.

“During the course of the investigation, the committee found significant evidence that suggests that President Donald Trump committed that act with the intent to disrupt the peaceful transition of power under our Constitution,” the committee said.

Following this, Trump has described the whole matter as fake and said that there is a conspiracy against him.

“The committee set up to investigate the January 6 case has already released its false and biased report. In this case, there have been attempts to prosecute me, there have been attempts to impeach me twice.”

Trump called the whole case a conspiracy. He said, “I’ve always won, and again in the end I’ll win. This is a conspiracy to stop me from contesting the presidential election in 2024. It’s a partisan attempt to sideline me and the Republican Party.”

Washington: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Friday that 14 of the 15 boxes recovered from former President Donald Trump’s residence in Florida contained confidential documents. The FBI issued an affidavit on Friday clarifying the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence this month.

This 32-page affidavit of the FBI includes additional information about the criminal investigation. It said sensitive documents have been recovered from the residence at Mar-a-Lago.

The documents present the most important details of the investigation, but the FBI has not been able to do so. The authorities have also made some changes in it so that the identity of the witnesses is not revealed and the sensitive methods of investigation are also not revealed.

The FBI gave this affidavit to a judge so that he could obtain a warrant to raid Trump’s residence. He took to social media to slam the FBI over his Mar-a-Lago property and said, “My beautiful home in Palm Beach, Florida, mar-a-lago, is currently in the FBI. It is under siege, raid and occupation by agents.

The officials of FBI, however, declined to comment on the development but multiple sources said that the search is liked to the potential mishandling of classified documents was reportedly sent to Mar-a-Lago.
