New Delhi: In the UK, 100 companies have adopted a permanent four-day work week for their employees without deducting their salaries. About 2,600 employees work in these 100 companies, but this 4-day work week campaign has given hope to bring major changes in the country.

Supporters of work 4 days a week said that the week of 5 days of work is a hangover of the previous economic situation.

According to a media report, the four-day work week will increase productivity and finish the same work in fewer hours. People who adopt this policy have found it helpful in attracting and retaining employees in the past.

Out of the 100 companies, two large firms that have adopted a four-day work week are Atom Bank and global marketing company Awin, which has about 450 employees in the UK.

Adam Ross, Evin’s chief executive, said the new methods of work are the biggest changes in the campaign’s history.”

Ross said, “In the last one and a half years, we have not only seen an increase in the betterment of employees, but our customer service and relationship have also improved. Also, talent relationship and retention have also benefited.”
