New Delhi: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son accused of cheating Rs crore in the name of getting e-toilet tender, has been booked Nashik police.

Vaibhav Gehlot, among 15 booked over allegations of involvement in a case of fraud.

Gehlot, also the president of Rajasthan Cricket Association, was booked following a complaint filed a Nashik resident Sushil Patil against him.

He claimed that they fraudulently obtained Rs 6.80 crore from him on the pretext of granting him a contract with the Rajasthan government.

New Delhi: The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has arrested three people in connection with investigation into the affairs of Jagat Agro Commodities Pvt. Ltd. The arrests were made as part of the investigation into the affairs of Jagat Agro Commodities Pvt. Ltd. by SFIO.

Satish Kumar Pawa, promoter and shareholder, Saurav Aggarwal, son of promoter and Suhas S. Paranjpe, Statutory auditor, were arrested.

The investigation was assigned by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to SFIO based on the Orders passed by the National Company Law Tribunal.

The arrest has been made by SFIO in exercise of the powers under Section 212(8) of the Companies Act, 2013, based on the material in its possession which has revealed that these persons were guilty of indulging in serious corporate fraud punishable under Section 447 of the Companies Act, 2013. They have falsified the financial statements over a period of 3 years by inflating their stock position and falsely induced banks to lend on the strength of the falsified financial statements. The company borrowed funds from public banks viz. SBoP and PNB and diverted/ siphoned through various channels.

They were produced before the court of Competent Jurisdiction in Delhi and transit remand orders were obtained for producing them before the Special Court (Companies Act, 2013), Mumbai.

The additional session judge, Mumbai, has remanded all the three accused in SFIO custody till 01.03.2022.

The investigation is currently under progress.

New Delhi: Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Commissionerate, Faridabad, of Panchkula CGST Zone today arrested two persons for running a fake billing racket, involving five (5) dummy firms, dealing in trading of iron scrap, registered in Faridabad, Haryana, for issuance of fake invoices of over Rs 200 crore without actual supply of goods and availing and passing fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) amounting to Rs. 31.85 crore.

A team of officers of Anti-Evasion, CGST Commissionerate, Faridabad, conducted simultaneous searches at 5 places in Faridabad on 22nd February, 2022. During the investigation, it was found that the said firms have been availing and passing on fraudulent Input Tax Credit based on bogus / fake invoices without actual supply of goods.

As per Section 132 of CGST Act 2017, issuance of an invoice or bill without supply of goods or services and wrongful availment or utilization of Input Tax Credit is a cognizable and non-bailable offence if the amount is over Rs. 5 crore.

Both the proprietors of the said firms have accepted that they have availed and passed on fraudulent ITC of Rs. 31.85 crore, without actual supply of goods to inter-state recipients and have accepted the total GST liability of Rs. 31.85 crore during initial investigation. The quantum may increase in future.

Therefore, both the accused have been arrested under Section 69 of Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 for committal of offences under Section 132(1)(b), 132(1) (c) & 132 (5) of the CGST Act, 2017. They were produced before the CJM Court, Faridabad, on 23.02.2022 and were remanded to 14 days Judicial Custody.

Further investigation in the case is underway, officials said.

ਛੱਤੀਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਇੰਨਾ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਈਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਆਈਡੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਬਸਤਰ ਆਈਜੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਫਰਜ਼ੀ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫਾਈਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ ਆਈ ਡੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।

ਠੱਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਈ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਿਆ

ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ, ਆਈ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਆਈਡੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਲੁੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਆਈਡੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫਰਜ਼ੀ ਆਈਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਈਬਰ ਸੈੱਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਕਤ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਟੀਮ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਬਸਤਰ ਦੇ ਐਸਪੀ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਝਾਅ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫਾਈਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਬਸਤਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਟੀਮ ਝਾਰਖੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਮੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
