Faridkot: The Faridkot police today arrested Lawrence Bishnoi and produced him before the court of Judicial Magistrate Ajaypal Singh here in connection with a case of alleged extortion of Rs 50 lakh from a Kotkapura-based businessman. The court sent Bishnoi to two-day police remand.

Earlier in the day, Moga police handed over gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to Faridkot police. The Moga police had arrested Bishnoi and brought him to Moga on August 1 on a production/transit warrant and obtained a 10-day remand from the court to probe the attempt to murder case.

The police remand ended today and the Moga police did not seek any further extension.

ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂ ਵਿੱਕੀ ਮਿੱਡੂਖੇੜਾ ਕਤਲ ਕੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਸ਼ੂਟਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਨਾਖ਼ਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਇਸ ਸ਼ੂਟਆਊਟ ਵਿਚ ਖੱਬੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਗੋਲੀ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਵਿਨੇ ਦਿਓੜਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਲਵ ਦਿਓੜਾ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ। ਲਵ ਦਿਓੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਰੈਂਸ ਬਿਸ਼ਨੋਈ ਗੈਂਗ ਨੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਵਿਨੇ ਦਿਓੜਾ ਕੋਟਕਪੁਰਾ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਨ ਲਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਟਕਪੁਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਫਲੈਟਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
