New Delhi: Amid allegations by the opposition over job cuts, the government has told Parliament that since 2014, over 7. 22 lakh jobs have been given jobs by the central government.

Minister of State in the Personnel Ministry Jitendra Singh said in a written reply that more than 22 crore applications for jobs were received during the same period.

According to the written reply, 38,850 were recruited during 2021-22, 78,555 in 2020-21, 1,47,096 in 2019-20, 38,100 in 2018-19, 76,147 in 2017-18, 1,01,333 in 2016-17, 1,11,807 in 2015-16 and 1,30,423 during 2014-15.

The Congress says the BJP came to power by promising to provide employment to two crore people every one year and the opposition’s aggressive stance has led to a stalemate in Parliament. The government says it is ready to discuss every single issue.

Taking a dig at Prime minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “In a series of tweets, ‘Raja’ arrested 57 MPs and suspended 23 MPs for questioning price rise and unemployment. The king is afraid of the question in the temple of democracy, but fighting dictators makes us happy.”

New Delhi: India Post over the recent days has been observing various URLs/Websites getting circulated in social media such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and through emails / SMS containing tiny URLs/ Short URLs, claiming to be providing Government Subsidies through certain surveys, quizzes.

“We wish to inform the citizens of the Country that India Post is not involved in any such activities like announcing Subsidies, Bonus or Prizes based on Surveys etc. Public receiving such notifications/messages /emails are requested not to believe or respond to such fake and spurious messages or share any personal details,” a government spokesperson said.

It is also requested not share any personally identifiable information such as date of birth, Account numbers, mobile numbers, place of Birth & OTP etc.

India Post though is taking necessary action to prevent these URLs / links / Websites to be taken down through various prevention mechanisms. Public at large is once again requested not to believe or respond to any fake / spurious messages / communications / links.

India Post and Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau (PIB) have declared these URLs/Websites as fake through social media.
