Chandigarh: In a bid to improve the health infrastructure and provide top-notch facilities to people in government hospital, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has issued fresh orders asking all government doctors to certify that they do not have any private practice.

The move aims at bolstering the quality treatment in hospitals as promised by the AAP government during poll campaigns.

At present, many government doctors run private clinics after working hours, which impacts thief efficiency and it is also against service rules, said a senior administration official.

According to the new orders, AAP asked civil surgeons and senior medical officers (SMO) in their respective districts to ensure all doctors in their jurisdiction did not have a private practice. If a doctor found indulging in private practice, along with the concerned doctor action will also be initiated against SMO, officials said.

New Delhi: The concept of climate change has already been incorporated in the curriculum/textbooks developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for Social Sciences/Geography for classes VII and XI, Minister of State for Education, Annpurna Devi in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

Topics on climate change have also been incorporated in the NCERT’s Science Textbooks for classes VIII and IX and Biology Textbook for class XII.

NCERT has been organizing in-service teachers’ capacity building programmes in Geography as well as in Social Sciences where teachers are sensitized over the issues related to climate change. Besides, live interactive sessions have also been conducted on Swayam Prabha, PM eVidya Channel on climate change. National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) learning modules for elementary stage also include Environmental Science (EVS) concerns related to environmental protection in the module on EVS.

Approximately, 42 lakh teachers have already completed NISHTHA learning modules through offline and online mode, Minister said.

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ : ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ | ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੈਟਰੋਲ ਡੀਜ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੰਗ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਣੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਟਰੈਕਟਰਾਂ, ਸਕੂਟਰਾਂ, ਮੋਟਰਾਈਕਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਗੈਸ ਸਿਲੰਡਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ।

ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਥੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉੱਥੇ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਖੇਤੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੁਣ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ |

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧੱਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਥ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
