New Delhi: An arrest warrant has been issued against former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. The area magistrate of Margalla police station has issued this arrest warrant against the former prime minister in connection with the case registered at islamabad police station.

On Friday, Imran Khan appeared before a sessions court in Islamabad and apologised to Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry. Imran Khan had allegedly threatened woman judge Zeba Chaudhry at a public rally.

During a rally in Islamabad on August 20, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan had threatened to file a case against top police officials, the Election Commission and political opponents over the treatment meted out to his aide Shahbaz Gill. Shahbaz Gill was arrested on charges of sedition.

What did Imran Khan say?

Imran Khan had asked for Judge Zeba Chaudhry that she should prepare herself as action would be taken against her. On the request of the police, Judge Zeba Chaudhary had approved the two-day remand of Shahbaz Gill.

He warned the deputy inspector general of police during the rally that he would not spare him and vowed to book him for the inhuman torture of Gill.

A case was registered against the former PM

Hours after his speech at the rally, 69-year-old Imran Khan was booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act for threatening the police, judiciary and other state institutions. Imran Khan appeared before a sessions court in Islamabad on Friday regarding the same case. “I have come to apologise to judicial magistrate Zeba Chaudhary.

“You have to tell Judge Zeba Chaudhry that Imran Khan came and he wants to apologise if my words have hurt his sentiments,” he said.
