Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has sacked four of its employees, including the son of banned Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and wife of terror financing accused Bitta Karate, from Norki.

All the four employees were dismissed from service under Article 311 of the Constitution. Officials said Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate is currently in judicial custody in terror funding cases.

His wife and Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services officer Asbah-ul-Arjmand Khan, information and technology manager of industries and commerce department and son of Pakistan-based chief of banned terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin, Abdul Moeed, Dr. Muhit Ahmad Bhat and Majid Hussain Qadiri (Senior Assistant Professor) at Kashmir University have been dismissed from service.

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police today said that 114 terrorists, including 32 foreign militants, were killed in Kashmir this year.

During this time, the police also said that seven terrorists were killed within 24 hours.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, “A total of 114 terrorists, including 32 foreign terrorists, were killed in the Kashmir Valley this year.” Of the seven terrorists, four were killed in Kupwara, one in Kulgam and two more in Pulwama.

The IGP had also informed about the number of terrorists killed in the Valley on April 28 last month.

He said that 62 terrorists have been killed in the Kashmir Valley till April 2022. In a tweet, he had said that 39 terrorists were from Lashkar-e-Taiba, 15 from Jaish-e-Mohammed, 6 from Hizb-ul-Muagin and two from Al-Badr. Of these, 47 were local and 15 were foreign terrorists.

Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir’ Baramulla, security forces have achieved a major breakthrough and killed three Pakistani terrorists on Wednesday.

One soldier was martyred during this operation. It has been reported that a large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the terrorists, said Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Supply of arms from across the border

According to the information, at present, terrorists are trying frequent infiltration attempts, which the Indian Army is trying to thwart. It is reported that the slain Pakistani terrorists were also in a similar attempt.

A large quantity of weapons are being sent from across the border, in the past few days, the terrorists had also threatened about the Amarnath Yatra. Due to this, the security forces are constantly active and keeping an eye on every such movement, a top army officer said.

New Delhi: The Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah said that there is improvement in the security situation, reduction in terror incidents from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021 and decrease in number of security forces personnel martyred from 91 in 2018 to 42 in 2021.

Shah is on his two days visit to valley.

Amit Shah emphasized on proactive operations against terrorists and denying them safe haven or financial support.

The Article 370 was abolished by BJP-led union government in August 2019.

Shah also reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu with Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha and senior officers of the Government of India and the Jammu & Kashmir administration.

He directed the security forces and police to ensure real time coordination for effective counter-terrorism operations and monitoring activities of terrorists from jails.

The Home Minister ordered further strengthening of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Jammu &Kashmir to choke narco terrorism.

Shah also interacted with the Next of Kin of the martyred security personnel. Interacting with them he said the entire nation is proud of the courage and commitment shown by these brave security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The Union Home Minister is on a two day visit to the Union Territory.

Shah handed over appointment orders on compassionate grounds to Pooja Devi as Panchayat Secretary in Jammu District. She is wife of Late SgetRohit Kumar. Sget Rohit Kumar was appointed as Constable in the Jammu &Kashmir Executive Police in June 2011.
