Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today condemned the recent spate of terror attacks targeting Israeli civilians these past weeks.

Trudeau said that there is no place for hate or terror of any kind and reiterated its government’s commitment to a continued, prosperous, and valuable relationship between the people of Israel and Canada, as well as lasting peace in the Middle East.

“Canada is proud to have been one of the first countries to formally recognize Israel in 1948. Since establishing diplomatic ties in 1949, our two countries have shared more than 70 years as friends, allies, and close partners, including in several international organizations. We will continue to oppose efforts to isolate Israel in international fora, and we will continue to stand against any attacks on the values we share, ” Trudeau said in a statement.

Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has arrived in London on Sunday night as he is on four-country Europe tour to consult with allies on Ukraine response.

Trudeau would meet with several allies to discuss responses to Russia’s attack and the humanitarian crisis. He will meet NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and visit the Latvian military base.

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly has already been in Europe for the past few days holding meetings with NATO and others over Ukraine crisis.

Meanwhile, Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development also traveling to Geneva to meet with UN and international partners to discuss the pandemic response and the humanitarian crises in Ukraine and Afghanistan.

Minister Sajjan will meet with UN and NGO partners on Monday, March 7, before traveling to Eastern Europe.

OTTAWA: Former United States President Barack Obama on Friday has tweeted his endorsement for Justin Trudeau in the closing days of a tight election campaign.

“Wishing my friend @JustinTrudeau the best in Canada’s upcoming election. Justin has been an effective leader and strong voice for democratic values, and I’m proud of the work we did together,” he wrote on his official twitter handle.
Meanwhile, Trudeau responded by thanking him and wrote, “Progress is on the ballot and we’re going to keep fighting for it.”

Ottawa: A 32-year-old man from Kitchener, Ont. Is facing charges for threatening Liberal leader Justin Trudeau last month during the campaign.

Due to the protest, which was attended by over 150 people, Trudeau had to delay his appearance on August 29.

According to Waterloo Regional Police Service, protestors raised slogans and uttered death threats against Trudeau.

Earlier, police had not confirmed any arrest or charges filed against anyone in this matter.

But two days after the protest, police began the investigation and on Friday, they arrested the Kitchener man after charging him with two counts of uttering threats.

Trudeau had said that he will not back down with these protests and death threats, racist and sexist slurs.

OTTAWA: Ahead of the Federal Elections to be held on September 20, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday has lashed out at his main opponent and accused him of favoring restrictions on banning weapons.
During the two hours debate in French, Trudeau said O’Toole had targeted each other on various issues including on the gun lobby and assault weapons.
“Mr O’Toole refused to tell Canadians what he wants to do. He signs deals with special interest groups,” Trudeau said. “He is offering weak leadership … he can’t be trusted.”
O’Toole has been attacking Liberal party for calling for an elections amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Last week, he promised to eliminate a ban on some assault weapons.
Countering the attacks, Trudeau, however, termed the early election as a referendum on his handling of the pandemic but has struggled to overcome voter fatigue.

Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been attacked by furious protestors with gravel thrown during his campaign stop in the town of London in Ontario.
No injuries, however, reported to anyone in the incident.
“There were little bits of gravel and I may have been hit. No one should be doing their jobs under the threat of violence. There are health care workers across the country who are getting hassled and intimidated and bullied as they are going in to work to keep people safe and alive. We will not let them win,” Trudeau says after being pelted with gravel during campaign stop
The incident occurred when the Liberal Party’s Trudeau was preparing to board his campaign bus. Eyewitness said that some journalists accompanying the PM also got hit by small stones.
Trudeau has been campaigning across the country for the September 20 snap polls, which he had called in mid-August with an aim to gain a majority one in the government.
Meanwhile, this is not the first incident of violence on Trudeau’s campaign trail as earlier he had faced violent protests at several stops due to anger over mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations and some other issues.

ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ‘ਚ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 50,000 ਨਵੇਂ ਪਰਸਨਲ ਸਪੋਰਟ ਵਰਕਰਜ਼ ਦੀ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਸਨਲ ਸਪੋਰਟ ਵਰਕਰਜ਼ ਨੂੰ 25 ਡਾਲਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਘੰਟਾ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ ਤਨਖ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਅਗਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੌਂਗ ਟਰਮ ਕੇਅਰ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ 3 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਐਨਡੀਪੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਵੇਟ ਲੌਂਗ ਟਰਮ ਕੇਅਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਲੌਂਗ ਟਰਮ ਕੇਅਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੁ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ।

Vancouver – ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ‘ਚ 20 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੈਡਰਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਥੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਲੀਡਰ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਹ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ। ਇਸ ਸਭ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਬਦਲਾਵ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ । ਫ਼ੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਵਿਡ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਲਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੋਸਟਾਂ ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ‘ਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੋਸਟਾਂ ਵੀ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੇਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Vancouver – ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਐੱਡ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ  ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।ਲਿਬਰਲ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਐੱਡ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ‘ਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ relentless ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਵਿਡ -19 ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜੋ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਫ੍ਰੈਂਚ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ‘ਚ ਵੀ ਐੱਡ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ solidarity ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ‘ਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੈਨੇਡੀਅਨ ਇਸ ਹਫਤੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੀਵੀ ‘ਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਤਿਹਾਰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
ਇਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣਾ ਚੋਣ ਵਿਗਿਆਪਨ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਦੱਸਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਕੰਜ਼ਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਲੀਡਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
NDP ਨੇਤਾ ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਫ਼ੈਡਰਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ‘ਚ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਯੁਨਿਵਰਸਲ ਫ਼ਰਮਾ ਕੇਅਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਡੈਂਟਲ ਕੇਅਰ, ਮੈਂਟਲ ਹੈਲਥ ਕੇਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੀਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਧੂ ਟੈਕਸ ਲਗਾਉਣਾ ਵੀ ਐਨਡੀਪੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੋਣ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
