Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal have filed anticipatory bail pleas in the Faridkot court.

The SIT had filed a charge sheet on February 24, after which the court sent summons to both of them to appear on March 23. Before the hearing, both of them have filed bail pleas in the court today. The court posted the matter for further hearing on March 14.

Pertinently, a charge sheet was filed in the Kotkapura firing case in which the names of many big faces including Sukhbir Badal came up.

A 7,000-page charge sheet was filed in the court in the Kotkapura firing case. In 2015, there were incidents of Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan shootings and two Sikh protestors were killed in Behbal Kalan.
