Washington: The World Health Organization is worried about the rising cases of monkeypox around the world. Today, the WHO issued a high alert on Monkeypox. In the wake of rising cases of Monkeypox, the WHO has declared Monkeypox a global health emergency.

Now, the WHO now sees the Monkeypox outbreak as a serious threat to global health and understands the need for a coordinated international response to deal with it. The WHO last issued a global health emergency in January 2020 in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, with Europe being the epicenter of the outbreak. So far, three cases have been confirmed in India.

The World Health Organization has activated its highest alert level for the growing monkeypox outbreak, declaring the virus a public health emergency of international concern. The WHO now sees the monkeypox outbreak as a serious threat to global health and considers the need for a coordinated international response to deal with it so that the virus does not spread too much.

New Delhi: The first case of Monkeypox has also been confirmed in India. Globally, 3,413 monkeypox cases have been reported in the last six months, although 86% of the cases have been reported in Europe and 11% in the US.

India had prepared the Guidelines for Monkeypox in the May. Now that the matter has come to light, once again the Health Ministry has written to the states and directed them to implement it strictly .

The central government has written a letter to the states asking them to be careful about monkeypox.
