New Delhi: A woman in Delhi has been found to be infected with monkeypox. Official said a 31-year-old Nigerian woman has come positive. The official said she is the first woman in the country to have been confirmed with monkeypox infection.

Sources said the woman has fever and has wounds in her hand, and has been admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital.

Her sample was sent for testing and the infection was confirmed on Wednesday.
