New York: Renowned English writer Salman Rushdie, who was injured in an attack on a man during an event in New York City yesterday, is on a ventilator and he may lose an eye during the surgery.

The condition of his liver is also bad after the ‘knife attack’.

Hadi Matar (24) from Fairview, New Jersey has been identified as the attacker who injured him at an event in western New York State.

Doctors said that Mumbai-born controversial author would lose his an eye while his liver was stabbed and damaged.
