New Delhi: Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi was questioned by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police in connection with the jailed criminal Sukesh Chandrashekhar money laundering case. She was cooperating with investigators, officials said.

Nora was asked more than 50 questions – what gifts did she get, who she spoke to, where she met them, etc.

Jacqueline and she were both talking to him (Sukesh Chandrasekhar) separately. Nora, however, told investigators that she doesn’t have any connection with Jacqueline Fernandez.

Nora said Sukesh’s wife spoke to her for nail art functions and then called her often. They also said that she did not know about Sukesh’s criminal background and that they had interacted with his manager and cousin and had little conversation with him.

On October 14, Nora reached the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office to join the investigation of the same criminal case. Earlier, Jacqueline, in a petition before the appellate authority of PMLA, had said that it was surprising that like her, some other celebrities, especially, Nora were also involved in the ₹200 crore extortion case by prime accused Sukesh.

A Delhi court had sent Sukesh Chandrasekhar and actress Leena Maria Paul to three-day ED remand in a Rs 200-crore extortion case. He was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in an extortion racket being run from a Delhi jail.
