New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Uzbekistan on September 15-16 at the invitation of President Shakaith Mirziyoyev.

He will attend the SCO Summit in Samarkand and mr Modi will also have bilateral meetings with some leaders on the sidelines of the summit. However, no further information has been given about this yet.

Leaders of eight SCO member countries will participate in the SCO summit, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iran President Ebrahim Raisi.

Prior to this meeting, the circumstances have taken a turn in which Modi is likely to have bilateral meetings with Jinping and Shahbaz Sharif.

According to Iranian media reports, Modi is likely to meet Iran’s new president Ebrahim Raisi.

Significant progress has been made towards restoration of the April 2020 situation following the Chinese troops’ withdrawal from the Gogra Hot Spring area in eastern Ladakh just before the SCO summit.

On Monday, the armies of both countries have to complete the withdrawal process. There are some issues left in Pengang Tso, which also have positive signs of resolution.

However, the standoff between the Indo-China armies at Depsang, Demchok and Daulatbeg Oldie dates back to April 2020. India had put a condition for restoration of pre-April 2020 status quo ante along the border for progress in bilateral relations with China. Today is the 100th birthday of Heeraben, mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion, the Prime Minister arrived at his younger brother Pankaj Modi’s residence in Gandhinagar this morning to meet his mother Heeraben and seek her blessings. In the meantime, he washed his mother’s feet and sought her mother’s blessings. Heeraben lives with her younger son.

New Delhi: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi participated in the celebrations of the 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Red Fort in New Delhi yesterday. New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed ita monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio broadcast and lauded the quantum jump in exports of Indian products last week.

In his address PM said that soon Indians products will go global riding on its campaign for “vocal for local” and “Make in India” drive.

“India has achieved the export target of $ 400 billion, i.e. 30 lakh crore rupees. At first instance, it might come across as a matter related to the economy; but more than the economy, it is related to the capability of India, the potential of India,” PM Modi said.

He further added at one time, the figure of exports from India used to be 100 billion, at times 150 billion, sometimes 200 billion while today, India has reached 400 billion dollars. In a way, this means that the demand for items made in India is increasing all over the world; the other meaning is that the supply chain of India is getting stronger by the day and it also has a very big message.

“The nation takes great strides when resolves are bigger than dreams. When there is a sincere effort day and night for the resolves, those resolutions also attain fruition… and you see, the same happens in a person’s life as well. New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh elections have entered the last leg as campaigning for the seventh and final phase of assembly, on March 7 in UP’s Varanasi and its eight adjoining districts.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi reached Varanasi for campaigning today.

The two leaders offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple here and then reached Pindara and launched a fierce attack on BJP government.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dialled Russian president Vladimir Putin and urged him to end the violence in Ukraine at once, which initiated by Russia on Thursday morning.

In a statement, Indian government said that President Putin briefed Prime Minister about the recent developments regarding Ukraine. Prime Minister reiterated his long-standing conviction that the differences between Russia and the NATO group can only be resolved through honest and sincere dialogue.

Modi appealed for an immediate cessation of violence, and called for concerted efforts from all sides to return to the path of diplomatic negotiations and dialogue.

“Modi sensitised the Russian President about India’s concerns regarding the safety of the Indian citizens in Ukraine, especially students, and conveyed that India attaches the highest priority to their safe exit and return to India,” the statement read adding that the both leaders agreed that their officials and diplomatic teams would continue to maintain regular contacts on issues of topical interest.

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav hit back at PM Narendra Modi’s ‘terrorists choosing cycles” comment at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh and said that ‘Cycle is the symbol of poor India’.

Prime Minister Modi had said at a rally on Sunday, “All the blasts that took place were carried out on a bicycle and I wonder why they (terrorists) preferred bicycles, in 2006 there was a bomb blast in Kashi, there was a blast in Sankat Mochan temple, there was an attack on Cantt railway station and then there was a Samajwadi Party government in UP.”

Referring to the court’s verdict in the Ahmedabad blasts, Prime Minister Modi said, “Just two days ago, the perpetrators of the Ahmedabad bomb blast have been sentenced and many terrorists have been sentenced to death. Today, I am referring to this in particular because some political parties have been kind to such terrorists and these political parties have been lenient in the interest of vote banks for terrorism.”

Prime Minister Modi said that when the SP came to power in 2012, it had decided to withdraw the bomb blasts case against terrorists, if you give a chance to such people, they will do their own crimes.
