Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made it clear on Sunday that the Canadian military’s intervention in Haiti cannot take place unless all political parties in that country agree to it.

Haiti was also discussed by French-speaking leaders and international organizations at the two-day annual Francophonie summit held in Tunisia.

Trudeau announced $16.5 million in aid to stabilize Haiti. The situation in Haiti has taken a very critical turn.

The gangs have taken over the supply of fuel and daily use, and cholera is also widespread there. Trudeau said half of the financial aid he provides will be spent on helping people in many ways and the rest will be spent on curbing corruption and gender-based violence.

But the Haitian government has called for the military’s intervention at the international level to crack down on the gangs. On this occasion, the US has said that Canada can play a better role in military intervention. On Sunday, Trudeau said Canada was working with the Caribbean Governments Organization CARICOM to find out how the international community could help with this situation.

Trudeau said that for this, it is also very important to know the opinions of the various political parties of Haiti.

Indonesia: A very heated conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Canadian Prime Minister on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia has been recorded on camera. Usually, such conversations are rarely seen in diplomacy.

Xi, in his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, expressed displeasure that the conversation in his earlier meeting was leaked to the media

The incident took place in front of television cameras, which showed Xi Jinping angry and objecting to Trudeau that whatever conversations he had had in earlier meetings were leaked to the media.

On Wednesday, the Chinese president told Trudeau through a translator on the sidelines of the closing session of the G20 meeting, “What we discuss is leaked to the newspaper. “This is not the way of communicating. If there is seriousness, we can have a good conversation. Otherwise it will be difficult.” Jinping said this in Chinese, which was translated into English by his official interpreter told to Trudeau.

Trudeau interrupted the translator, saying, “We believe in free, open and clear dialogue and that is what we will continue to do. We will continue to work together constructively, but there will be things on which we will disagree.”

After Trudeau’s response, Xi maintained his conduct of a smiling but disappointed headmaster, saying, “It’s great but first we create the conditions.”

Asked about his talks with Xi, Trudeau said, “Not every conversation is going to be easy, but it’s very important that we stand up for things that are important to canadians.”

Trudeau spoke with Xi on Tuesday and his office said Trudeau had raised concerns about Chinese interference in Canada’s elections.

According to reports quoting a government source, Trudeau had raised the issue of Ukraine, North Korea and climate change in his ten-minute conversation. This conversation was leaked to the media and this disgruntled Xi Jinping.

Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that he guarantees that Canada will meet its latest climate goal this time. “This time our plan is very robust which shows how we have to achieve this goal,” he said.

In 1988, Canada set a goal of reducing the leakage of eight different greenhouse gases. Six of them came but could not be completed. The next target is set for 2030. Therefore, Canada will have to bring its greenhouse gas emissions to the same level as 2005, which means reducing this leakage by 55 to 60 percent. This is much bigger than the previous target.

Meeting this new target based on the level of leakage in 2020 would mean that Canada will have to eliminate 23 million tons of gas emissions every year. If calculated directly, it would be equivalent to removing five million cars every 12 months by the end of this decade.

Asked if Canada will achieve this goal, Trudeau said, “Yes, of course.” Trudeau said Canada’s Emissions Reduction Plan, published in March, provides a road map that can achieve this new goal.”

Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and German Chancellor Olf Schulz signed the new hydrogen deal in Newfoundland and Stephanville Town, Labrador.

The deal came to an end during the hydrogen trade show.

After this deal, Canada and Germany said that after this new agreement, a new hydrogen supply chain will start. Not only this, its first delivery will start in just three years.

During this agreement, it has been decided that Canada will be responsible for the production of hydrogen and Germany will focus on the shipping corridor to take it across the Atlantic.

Although Russia has not been included in this agreement, this agreement has been made to become self-reliant in the matter of energy as well as to give a message to President Vladimir Putin that his country’s days of remaining a superpower in global energy are about to come to an end.

Germany was looking for an alternative to fossil fuel to meet its climate commitments and reduce its energy dependence on Russia.

Meanwhile, Natural Resources Development Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said in an interview on Tuesday that the agreement was due to Putin’s ascent of Ukraine.

Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that his government has been focused on making life more affordable for people across the country.

He said that the government of Canada has increased the Canada Child Benefit two weeks ago today, and which leads to increase in monetary assistance every month to help Canadians to pay for whatever their kids need.

“We are also cutting child care fees in half by the end of the year, and we will keep working to make $10-a-day child care a reality in every corner of the country,” Trudeau said.

In a social media post today, Trudeau said that his government got a plan to make housing more affordable with the new Tax-Free First Home Savings Account. The government will increase housing supply by doubling the number of homes being built across Canada over the next ten years. The government will curb speculation, ban foreign ownership for two years, and crack down on other unfair practices.

For the senior citizens, who is 75 or older, the government has permanently boosted the Old Age Security pension by 10% last week. This means elders who were receiving the full benefit, will get more than $800 extra over the first year. Payments can be expected on August 29th, September 27th, October 27th, November 28th, and December 21st.

“We will continue to be there for you and your family as we tackle the rising cost of living, and we will keep working to make your life more affordable,” PM Trudeau said.
