Chandigarh: Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Navjot Singh Sidhu visited the residence of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala to meet his father. He has reached to condole the death of Moosewala with his parents.

The Punjabi singer was lodged in Patiala jail when he was murdered on May 29 last year. Navjot Sidhu was released from jail two days ago.

Sidhu blamed the AAP government for Moosewala’s murder and asked why his security was downgraded to make the list public.

He questioned the law and order situation in Punjab and said that whoever the government is, the first responsibility of the government is to protect the lives of the people. “I want to ask whether the government here protects against crime or commits crime?”

Mansa: A campaign has been launched by the family of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala to get justice. Sidhu Moosewala’s father said that any fan of Sidhu who comes to meet him should put his name, address and his signature on the register and demand justice for Sidhu. “We have been demanding justice for a long time.”

He said Sidhu Moosewala’s family is not seeking justice alone and the government should know that a large number of people are demanding justice for Sidhu Moosewala, who is Moosewala’s own and are unhappy for not getting justice.

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on the evening of May 29. Following this, the police registered a case on the statements of Moosewala’s father and started arresting the sharpshooters and gangsters.

Chandigarh: The murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala could have been solved within a few hours, but the laxity of the police gave the shooters a chance to escape.

Four of the six shooters were hiding in the fields of Khyala village after Moosewala was attacked on the evening of May 29.

The village is located about 10 km from Jawaharke (Mansa district), the site of the attack. Investigations have revealed that the Punjab Police could not quickly seal the borders with Haryana and Rajasthan, nor could barricades be erected.

According to sources, when the people informed the police about some suspects hiding outside the village, the police teams were dispatched to Khyala village. However, most of the police had to be sent to the Civil Hospital in Mansa where Moosewala’s fans were agitated and there was a fear of violence.

Apart from this, the police were also needed to handle the crowd near the place of the murder and the house of the singer’s village Musa. It is now believed that by the time the police reached Khyala village, the shooters had left the place or they could not search the fields properly. After Moosewala’s murder, gangsters Jagroop Roopa and Manpreet Manu snatched the Alto car and left for Barnala.

The two were killed in a police encounter in Tarn Taran about 50 days later. The other shooters , Priyavrat Fauji, Ankit Sirsa, Kashish and Deepak Mundi, had fled to Haryana but when they saw the PCR car behind them, they turned towards village Khyala where the Bolero car was stuck. The PCR vehicle passed by without stopping them and the shooters were hiding in the fields.

The shooters first made all this disclosure to the Special Cell of Delhi Police and now it has been verified with the Punjab Police with the statement of these shooters, which has also been mentioned in the charge sheet presented in the Mansa court.

No investigation has been conducted so far on the laxity of the police and the delay in putting up barricades after Moosewala’s murder and the PCR vehicle not stopping the Bolero.

Mansa: Inquiry Officer (IO) Angrez Singh, who is investigating the murder of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewale, has been suddenly replaced by senior police captain Gaurav Tura of Mansa.

Earlier Angrez Singh, head of police station City-1, was investigating this murder case, now Gurlal Singh has been appointed as the investigating officer in his place. Angrez Singh was the in-charge of Police Station City-1 Mansa.

The murder of Moosa Wale took place at Jawaharke village under this police station, due to which the police chief was investigating the case. At the time of Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, Angrez Singh received threats from the gangsters, due to which the security of police station City-10 was increased along with him.

Angrej Singh has now been posted at Budhlada police station, though Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura has termed the transfer as a regular transfer. The Moosewala murder case is being investigated by the SIT, which is headed by DIG Jaskaran Singh. The members of this team include Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura, Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) IG Gurmeet Chauhan. DSP of Mansa and Bathinda as well as SHO of Police Station City-1 Mansa have also been included in it.

Under the leadership of Investigating Officer Angrez Singh, Mansa Police has presented the challan of the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, in which the names of 24 murderers and 166 different witnesses have been recorded. Goldy Brar is described as the mastermind in it. It was Goldy who provided weapons, vehicles to the sharp shooters for the murder of the Punjabi singer. Jaggu Bhagwanparia also provided shooters Manpreet Mannu Kussa and Jagroop Rupa, who were later killed in an encounter in Amritsar district.

Chandigarh: Another associate of Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. Gangster Sachin Thapaan has posted on Facebook and claimed responsibility for the crime.

Yesterday, The Bishnoi gang and Goldy Brar in Facebook post claimed responsibility for the murder.

Earlier, Punjab DGP said that, prima facie, it seems to be an inter-gang rivalry between Lawrence Bishnoi Group and Lucky Patial group. “Lawrence Bishnoi group has taken the responsibility of Sidhu Mooswala’s murder citing it as a retaliation to the killing of Vicky Midhukhera,” he said.

Police said that three shooters identified as Sunny, Anil Lath and Bholu, all resident of Haryana have already been arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell in connection with the murder of Vicky Midhukhera, while, another accused identified as Shaganpreet, who was manager of Sidhu Moosewala was also nominated as accused in the FIR registered regarding the murder of Vicky. Shaganpreet has escaped to Australia and is wanted by the Police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that three weapons including 7.62mm, 9 mm and 0.30 bore weapons were used in the crime. It is still under investigation.
