Cairo: Iranian authorities have arrested one of the country’s most famous actresses on charges of spreading lies about nationwide protests. Oscar-winning “The Salesman” actress Taraneh Alidoosti was taken into custody on Saturday.

A week ago, she posted a post on Instagram, expressing solidarity with the first person to be hanged recently for crimes allegedly committed during the protests.
