Teenager killed in stabbing at Toronto subway station, one arrested

Toronto: A teenager died due to a knife attack at Toronto’s subway station. The deceased has been identified by the police and a suspect has also been charged with murder in this connection.

At 9:00 p.m., police were called to the western part of The Kiel TTC station after reporting the stabbing. According to the information received, the 16-year-old boy was sitting on a bench at the lower level of the station when a suspect came to him and stabbed the teenager without any fight.

According to the police, the boy was badly injured and was rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Gabriel Magalhaes of Toronto. Jordan O’Brien-Tolbin, 22, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, police said.

In a statement, Toronto’s Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvey described the killing of teenager as a “tragedy” and shared her grief with the family of the deceased.
