New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of Corona once again in the country, the Central government has given special instructions to 8 states.
The Centre has asked these states to keep an eye on the rising cases as well as the infection rate and infection per 100 tests. The epidemic is not over yet and there is need to be vigilant at every level, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has mentioned these things in his letter to eight states.
Rajesh Bhushan further said that the cases of hospitalization and death from Corona are very low, but the increase in new cases of corona in the state and districts indicates the spread of infection at the local level.
Bhushan said in his letter that these states and districts (high daily cases and/or high test positivity rate) need to be closely monitored and measures need to be taken to control such surge in the initial stages.
At the same time, there is a need to establish the requisite public health measures to control it.
The states which have been asked by the central government to be vigilant about Corona and keep an eye on the increasing cases include Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Haryana and Delhi.
According to the data, the number of such districts is one in UP, 11 in Tamil Nadu, 6 in Rajasthan, 8 in Maharashtra, 14 in Kerala, 12 in Haryana and 11 in Delhi.
