Washington: A shooting incident reported near a gurdwara in California, USA. The incident took place in Stockton and local police confirmed the shooting.
Authorities received information about the incident at 6:42 p.m. local time on Saturday. Three people were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital.
According to police, no one was seriously injured. The incident is said to be the result of a clash between two Sikh groups. Both the shooter and the victim are Sikhs.
However, earlier there were reports that there was firing inside the gurdwara, but it was denied by the gurdwara administration.
A statement issued by the gurdwara administration said the incident did not take place inside the gurdwara. It was also said that the firing took place on the road outside the limits of the Gurdwara Sahib.
