Chandigarh: Hours after Punjab Congress chief Navjot Sigh Sidhu announced his resignation from his position, three ministers and five party MLAs visited Sidhu’s house and held a meeting with him on Tuesday night.
Those attended the private meeting were cabinet ministers including Razia Sultana, Pargat Singh and Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and five MLAs including Kuljit Singh Nagra, Inderbir Singh Bolaria, Sukhwinder Singh Danny, Kulbir Singh Zira and Sukhpal Singh Khaira at Sidhu’s residence.
A close aide to Sidhu said that he is not willing to rethink “with present political changes in the government” and could not be a mere “puppet in the hands of the party high command”.
