Chandigarh: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha will hold a peaceful rail blockade across Punjab for four hours against the non-fulfilment of the demands of the Central Government at the time of suspension of the farmers’ agitation today.
The jam will take place from 11 am to 3 pm. Meanwhile, the BKU (Ugrahan) has announced to stop the rails as well as road traffic.
Sanyukt Kisan Morcha leader and Punjab Kisan Union state president Ruldu Singh Mansa said all preparations have been completed for the chakka jam. He informed that in order to meet the present farmers’ demands and the remaining demands after the suspension of delhi kisan agitation, where road traffic in other states of the country will be closed and chakka jam will be done, the ‘railway tracks’ in Punjab will be blocked.
He appealed to the passengers not to travel by train today and support the farmers’ movement to uplift the economy of the country and save the annadata of the country.
Meanwhile, the BKU (Ugrahan) has also decided to block both rail and highway roads in Punjab as part of a four-hour chakka jam call.
President of the organization Joginder Singh Ugrahan and General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Kokri Kalan informed that 8 rail routes of Bathinda Junction including rail blockades at Budhlada (Mansa) and Patiala and toll plazas in other districts will be blocked.
