New Delhi: The UAE government has changed the travel guidelines. Under the new instructions, now if a person has only his single name written on his passport, and the column of surname is empty, then they cannot go to the UAE.

According to the UAE government, both the first and last names should be written on the passports of all passengers.

From November 21, the UAE has also implemented this new rule. A statement has also been issued by the airline company IndiGo quoting the UAE government.

IndiGo said in a statement, “As per the instructions of the UAE administration, passengers who have a single name on their passport, whether tourist or on any visa, will not be allowed to travel.”

This exemption will be available to those with permanent visas

However, if someone has a permanent visa to the UAE, then they will be required to travel, but for this, they will have to update the passport by writing the same name in both the columns of the first and last names.

At the same time, IndiGo has said that if a passenger wants more information than this, then he can go to the website and get the details.
