Triple talak law saved thousands of women says Modi in UP

New Delhi: Launching fierce attack on Mamata Banerjee TMC party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi racked up TMC’s interview given in Goa and said that it was contesting elections there to divide Hindu votes.

PM appealed the election commission of India to take notice of it, while addressing the rally in Kanpur Dehat.

Mamata Banerjee’s party contested Goa polls first time and had allied with one party (MGP) to divide the Hindu votes in Goa, Modi said adding that enacting a law against “triple talaq”, by BJP government has saved thousands of Muslim women in UP.

This remark has once again heated up the politics amid the ongoing elections in UP, as hijab row currently going on in Karnataka.

He said that Muslim feels safe under leadership of BJP but opposition trying to create mayhem for their vested interests.
