London: Twitter was down for thousands of users on Tuesday. There were thousands of reports about this problem on the Down Detector website.
MacRumors reported that affected users were seeing a pop up notice about the service being unavailable when trying to access Twitter. However, the micro-blogging platform later informed that the problem has been fixed.
The Twitter Support Account acknowledged the problem of Twitter being down. “Twitter isn’t loading for some of you – we’re working to get you back to your timeline ASAP,” he wrote.
Twitter support explains why the problem
About half an hour after the problem was fixed, Twitter Support later posted a tweet saying, “We fixed it! We made an internal systems change that didn’t go as planned and have rolled it back. Twitter should now be loading as expected. Sorry about that!”
Twitter was also down last month
Twitter was down for about an hour last month. Earlier on February 17, users had to face similar problems. During this time, a lot of memes were made about Twitter on social media.
