Two men charged in Brampton for trying to flee police, two handgun seized

Brampton: Two men were arrested and charged with multiple charges they were trying to escape from the police, hit their vehicle. Handguns were also recovered from the vehicle of these persons during the investigation.

Police said an investigation began at 10:10 p.m. on October 10 about two men sitting in a parked vehicle by patrol officers in the West Drive area on Brampton’s Tomcon Road.

The investigation was conducted under the Cannabis Act and The Liquor License Act. Peel police alleged that the miscreants tried to flee from the spot and hit two police officers.

The police said that during the investigation, a loaded gun and drugs were found in the vehicle. Constable Sarah Patton said police officers suffered only minor injuries.

Deputy chief Marc Andrews in a tweet said, “Our @PeelPolice patrol officers are seizing guns at an unprecedented rate, This combined with accused persons who demonstrate an utter contempt for our legal system, puts everyone at risk, save for the courage of the involved officers this could have ended in tragedy. “
