Two police officers stabbed in London, hospitalised

London: Two police officers in London have been hospitalized after being stabbed by a man. Metropolitan Police Scotland Yard said the incident took place in central London. Police said the incident was not related to militancy. He said the man, who was arrested on suspicion, encountered police officers near Leicester Square at around 6 a.m. today.

The reason behind the incident is being investigated. Scotland Yard said security had been beefed up in London in the wake of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. A large number of people are reaching Westminster Hall to pay tribute to him. For this, police have been called from other places as well.
