With a spurt rise in cases of Omicron variant across the world, the United Arab Emirates(UAE) has made it mandatory for all travellers to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to travel in the country.
As per the fresh directions, it is compulsory for citizens of the country to get fully vaccinated and those are fully vaccinated must obtain the booster dose for the fully vaccinated.
The country’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said in a tweet, “Ban on Travel on UAE citizens unvaccinated with #Covid19 vaccine, starting Jan 10, 2022, with a requirement to obtain the booster dose for the fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the move came after UAE is witnessing an unprecedented rise of Omicron variant of the COVID-19 and the infection has surged the hospitalisations in many parts of the world.
