Kiev: Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy said today he had enough weapons but his country needed more weapons to hit long distances.
The President said that to block the Russian army’s path, they needed weapons that could actually hit the target. It is worth mentioning that at present, the eastern region of the country remains the epicentre of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
According to officials in the Luhansk region, the Russian army has captured about 80 percent of the city of Civiorodonsk and destroyed all bridges leading up to it. They added that they could still pull out the injured from the city.
The city had around one lakh people before the war but now stands at 12,000. Russian forces have pushed back the Ukrainian army by heavy bombing. More than 500 citizens have taken shelter in a chemical plant. This too is being bombarded by the Russians. In the last 24 hours, 70 civilians have been evacuated from the Luhansk region. Two people have died and another has been injured.
