Lucknow: Polling is being held today in 59 seats of Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Fatehpur, Banda and Unnao
Lakhimpur Kheri is the segment where BJP union minister’s son mowed down four farmers and a journalist when they were holding protest against BJP.
The polling started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. The fate of 624 candidates will be sealed today.
In the previous elections, Of the 59 seats, BJP had won 51, 4 by SP ans 3 by BSP while Apna Dal (Sonelal) won one seat.
