Lucknow: Polling has begun for first phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election here on Thursday.
The voting began at 7am in 58 constituency in the 1st of 7 phase elections, covering 11 districts in UP.
The polling are being held at Shamli, Meerut, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Mathura. Nearly 2.27 crore voters will exercise their right.
