Washington: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Friday approved the Covid-19 vaccine of Pfizer and Moderna for emergency use of young children. In most of countries, children in this age group have not received the vaccine dose.

The agency has approved a two-dose vaccine of moderna for children between six months and five years and a three-dose pfizer vaccine for children between six months and four years.

Robert Califf, head of food and drug administration, said in a statement: “Many parents and doctors were waiting for young children to be vaccinated and approved by vaccines, and approval of vaccines will help protect children above six months of covid infection.” It will be helpful to prevent very serious consequences for young children such as hospitalization or death.

“We hope that the Covid vaccine will help in preventing very serious consequences for young children such as hospitalization or death. The Saints for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will also have to make a recommendation for the vaccine before it can be used. After this, the final approval will be given in the advisory committee meeting of the experts. The meeting is expected to take place soon.

The US administration has said that as soon as the FDA decides, 10 million Covid doses can be sent immediately across the country. Millions more doses could be sent in weeks after that. Both of these vaccines are based on messenger RNAs that provide human cells with genetic code for coronavirus proteins and help the immune system to prepare by re-developing on their surface. During the trial, this vaccine was tested on thousands of children.
