Washington: The death toll from Covid-19 has crossed 900, 000 mark on Friday.
According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker, the toll of the pandemic was 800,000 in mid-December and new cases are linked to Omicron variant of the virus.
The daily death cases are still rising and around 2400 being reported per day, as per the official record.
Due to this, hospitalisation remain occupied and stretching the healthcare capacity as well as workforce to its limits in some areas of the country,” said Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
