Washington: The US media has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for telling Russian President Vladimir Putin that this is not the time for war in Ukraine. The talks between Modi and Putin in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, received wide coverage from the mainstream American media.
‘The Washington Post’ wrote, “Modi slams Putin for the war in Ukraine. The daily wrote, “Modi lashed out at Putin in a surprising public rebuke, saying:” The modern era is not the time for war. I have spoken to you about it on the phone as well.”
Because of this rare condemnation, the 69-year-old Russian leader came under tremendous pressure from all sides.
