Washington: The United States President, Joe Biden; Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson; among others, have condemned the ruling by the US Supreme Court to overturn verdict on the Roe Vs Wade case on abortion.
According to the information, the court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe vs Wade case, which recognised women’s constitutional right to have an abortion, on Friday.
“The news coming out of the United States is horrific. My heart goes out to the millions of American women who are now set to lose their legal right to an abortion. I can’t imagine the fear and anger you are feeling right now,” Trudeau wrote on his social media.
He further said that no government, politician, or man should tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her body. I want women in Canada to know that we will always stand up for your right to choose.
