Vigilance arrests ex-minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu

Ludhiana: Former Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau on Monday.

According to the information, the Vigilance has arrested Bharat Bhushan from a salon. Ashu is accused of allegedly misappropriating tenders worth Rs 2,000 crore.

Former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been arrested by the Vigilance from Ludhiana today. Former minister Ashu was sitting in the salon when vigilance conducted raid and nabbed him.

Several Congress leaders are on the vigilance radar. Earlier, former forest minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot was arrested in connection with a case of taking commission for trees.

Today, Congress held protest outside vigilance office at Chandigarh against AAP government’s action alleging propaganda.
