New Delhi: The students’ protest in Bihar over the ‘Agniveer Yojana’ has been going on since Thursday morning.
Today is the second day of the protest which started from Nawada and Jehanabad in Bihar. This is followed by eight to nine districts including Ara, Buxar, Saharsa.
Trains have also been targeted at many places in the outrage. Traffic in Nawada has been completely halted. There was also arson on the road. The tires are burnt.
In Nawada, the students shouted slogans against the central government and asked for the withdrawal of the scheme. The Prajatantra Chowk in Nawada also witnessed a ruckus by angry students. Angry students said that the exam has been cancelled after being physical and medical. This exam should be taken and the government should abolish the new scheme.

Along with Nawada, a similar scenario was seen in Jehanabad in Bihar. Students stopped the train in Jehanabad in protest against the new army recruitment scheme. The tyre on the road was lit and performed near Kako Bend. The students expressed their anger by stopping the train at Jehanabad station. The tyres were burnt and NH-83 and nh-110 were jammed. The protesting candidates in Jehanabad have demanded the Bihar government and the central government to restore 16 years of service.
In Jehanabad, angry students also pelted bricks and stones at the police. The police also resorted to lathi charge and chased them out of the station. During this time, the SDPO and the media persons present at the spot survived. On the other hand, Ara and Buxar have also seen a lot of violence.
