Weather worsens in Leh, emergency landing in Amritsar, passengers create ruckus

Amritsar: A SpiceJet flight from Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Amritsar due to bad weather in Leh. Due to bad weather, the flight returned to Delhi at night, but as soon as it returned to Delhi, the passengers created a ruckus. SpiceJet had to make arrangements for the accommodation of the passengers.

SpiceJet flight SG-123 from Delhi to Leh took off from the Indira Gandhi Airport at around 3.15 pm with a delay of about five hours. The flight reached Leh but due to bad weather, it was not allowed to land in Leh.

After this, the flight had to make an emergency landing in Amritsar. After waiting for some time in Leh for the weather to improve, the flight was diverted back to Delhi, but SpiceJet’s troubles did not end there as the passengers staged a sit-in on the runway itself.

SpiceJet flight SG123 landed in Delhi late on Saturday night, but as soon as it landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport, passengers staged a sit-in on the runway. The passengers protested, raised opposition slogans and demanded justice from the Government of India.
