Weekend curfew imposed in Delhi, non-essential movement curbed

New Delhi: Following an incessant rise in Omicron variant cases in the country, Delhi government has announced a weekend curfew in Delhi.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority met to decide on new curbs in Delhi with the positivity rate staying above five per cent for two straight days.

The national capital announced red alert under the colour-coded Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).

As per orders, government offices in the city will have to implement work from home for employees and private offices will operate at 50 per cent capacity on weekends.

Delhi reported 4,099 new Covid-19 cases on Monday.
