Balluana: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday said the next SAD-BSP alliance government would register a criminal case against Charanjit Singh Channi for fraudulent misuse of public funds as chief minister for placing false advertisements.
The SAD President was talking to newsmen after addressing large functions at Balluana in favour of SAD-BSP alliance Candidate Hardev Singh Megh besides participating in an impressive road show.
Badal said it is a crime to misuse public funds and the chief minister has committed a crime by placing advertisements stating that 36,000 contractual employees had been regularized.
“He has also cheated the contractual employees by claiming that the State Governor is sitting over the file recommending their regularization when the actual fact is that the relevant file is in the CM office”.
Badal said it was shocking that Channi was trying to befool employees with such cheap tricks. He said now that the Governor had exposed the chief minister by detailing that the file was in the CMO and was awaiting clarifications since December 31, Channi did not have any moral right to continue in office. “He should submit his resignation immediately”.
The SAD President also announced that once the SAD-BSP alliance government was formed it would regularize all 36,000 contractual employees at the earliest.
